Frequently asked.
Do I need a panel upgrade for solar or an EV charger?
Sometimes. Older or smaller (100A) services can be tight once you add solar, a battery or an EV charger. Our licensed electricians check your panel and either confirm you're fine, add a circuit, or recommend a service upgrade (often to 200A) — and we do that work.
What electrical work does a solar install involve?
Tying the array into your panel, adding any required disconnects and a production meter, and making sure your service can carry the system. We handle all of it as part of the install — permitted and inspected.
What does a service upgrade involve?
Replacing your main panel and/or service entrance (commonly 100A to 200A) so you have capacity for solar, storage and EV charging. We coordinate with your utility and pull the permits.
Can you make my home solar-ready or EV-ready?
Yes — if you're not installing yet, we can run the conduit, capacity and panel work so adding solar, a battery or an EV charger later is quick and clean.
Is everything permitted and inspected?
Always. All electrical work is permitted, code-compliant and inspected, by licensed electricians (MN EA761814).
Do you do all electrical work, or just solar-related?
iSolar handles the electrical that goes with solar, storage, EV and generators. For full-service residential and commercial electrical — repairs, rewires, lighting, troubleshooting — our sister company Three Rivers Electric has you covered, same family, same standards.
