The iSolar process

Four clear steps, no surprises.

Free assessment

We review your roof, shading, usage and bill and give you a straight answer on whether solar makes sense.

Transparent design & proposal

A custom system with honest numbers, full equipment specs, savings, incentives and financing — all laid out.

Permits & install

Licensed, permitted, inspected, and installed by our own crew — no subcontractors, ever.

Power on & lifetime support

We commission it, monitor it, and stand behind it for 30 years.

Transparent by design

What's in your free, no-pressure proposal.

No inflated numbers, no hidden adders — just the real picture so you can decide with confidence.

Honest production estimate

We factor in real-world losses (snow, heat, shading) — about 16% — so your numbers aren't the inflated lab-condition figures some companies quote.

Usage vs. production

Your actual yearly usage mapped against estimated production, so you can see your real offset.

Full equipment specs

Exactly what we're installing — premium Tier-1 panels, Enphase microinverters, and IronRidge racking with QuickBOLT mounts.

Savings & financing

Cash, loan (Affinity, One Ethos, MNCEE) and the incentives you qualify for — all spelled out.

Good questions

Frequently asked.

How long does the whole process take, start to finish?

For a home, typically a few weeks from signed proposal to power-on: assessment and design, then permitting and the utility interconnection application, then the install itself (usually a day or two), then final inspection and utility commissioning. Permitting and utility timelines drive most of the wait — we manage all of it and give you a realistic schedule up front.

Do you use subcontractors?

No — the same licensed local crew that starts your job finishes it: design, permitting, installation, electrical and commissioning, all in-house. No subcontractor shuffle.

How accurate is your production estimate?

We quote honestly. Instead of the inflated lab figure (PVWatts at ~145%), we factor in real-world losses — roughly 16% for snow, heat and shading — so the savings number in your proposal is one you can actually count on.

What permits and inspections are involved?

Electrical and building permits, a code inspection, and the utility interconnection and net-metering application. We pull and manage all of it — you don't chase anything.

What is the free 1-year Total Care inspection?

A complimentary check-up at the one-year mark on every install: panels, inverters, electrical connections, racking, production vs. expectation, and roof-penetration seals — finished with a written report.

What happens if something needs service later?

Our own local crew handles it — not a 1-800 number — backed by the 30-year, insurance-backed Solar Insure warranty (parts and labor). Monitoring alerts come to us too, so we often catch issues before you do.

Is the assessment really free and no-pressure?

Yes. We review your roof, shading, usage and bill and give you a straight answer — even if that answer is that solar isn't the right fit for your situation right now.
