Stop roof avalanches before they land on someone.
Solar panels are slick — Minnesota snow slides off them in heavy, sudden sheets. Snow guards control the release so it never lands on walkways, decks, meters or the people below.
Why panels shed snow all at once.
Glass warms in the sun, the bond lets go, and the whole panel field can release in one slide.
Sudden release
Unlike shingles, panel glass sheds its snow load in seconds — hundreds of pounds moving at once.
The danger zones
Entries, garage aprons, decks, gas meters and AC units below the eave take the hit.
Hidden costs
Sliding snow rips off gutters, crushes landscaping and can shear conduit on its way down.
Engineered rows, mounted to the racking.
Clamp-on snow retention sized to your roof pitch and panel field — installed without a single hole in a panel.
Production-safe
Guards mount at panel edges and racking, casting no shadow on the cells — your output is untouched.
Engineered for MN loads
Aluminum and stainless systems sized to pitch, panel layout and Minnesota snow-load zones.
Retrofit-friendly
Add snow retention during your install or years later — including arrays other companies installed.

Frequently asked.
Do snow guards reduce solar production?
No. They mount along panel edges and racking below the glass surface, so they cast no meaningful shadow on the cells.
Do I actually need snow guards?
If panels sit above an entry, walkway, deck, driveway apron, gas meter or AC unit, yes — that is exactly where a panel field dumps its load.
Will snow still come off the panels?
Yes — that is the point. Guards hold the snowpack so it melts and releases gradually instead of avalanching in one sheet.
Can you add snow guards to an existing system?
Yes. Clamp-on retention retrofits cleanly onto most racking systems, including arrays we did not install.
Can snow guards damage my panels?
No. They clamp to the racking and panel frames — nothing touches the glass and nothing is drilled.
