This Hastings-area farm runs energy year-round, so iSolar designed a 96-panel, 47 kW ground mount matched to the operation’s real loads and built for Minnesota weather.
We pile-drove the array on open farmland, paired Silfab SIL-490 panels with three SolarEdge inverters, and oriented it for maximum production. Farm solar offsets the loads that actually drive the bill — irrigation, drying, shop and home power — and locks in predictable costs for 25+ years.
This was a USDA REAP grant project. On the tax side, agricultural systems can stack the 30% federal ITC, MACRS depreciation, and (when the program is funded) REAP grant dollars. Note: USDA REAP is under federal review in 2026 — we track its status and never promise a grant we can’t confirm.
