Sometimes yes, sometimes honestly no, and we’ll tell you which. We start with a shade study of your specific roof – the tools model sun paths through your actual tree canopy across the whole year. On many mature-tree lots there’s still a usable south or west plane, and microinverters keep partial shade from killing production on the rest of the array. If the numbers come back poor, we’d rather say so than sell you a system that underperforms. Some homeowners also choose selective trimming, but we never require removing healthy trees.
