This Afton homeowner went all-in: a 113-panel, 52 kW array on dual-axis trackers that follow the sun across the sky for maximum daily production.
Most arrays are fixed; dual-axis trackers rotate on two planes to keep the panels aimed directly at the sun from morning to evening, squeezing out meaningfully more energy per panel than a fixed mount. It’s a premium approach for a property with the land and the appetite for maximum output.
Because the homeowner owns the system, they keep the production, the net-metering value with Xcel, and the resale value — no lease, no PPA, no third party in the middle.
