This Minneapolis home pairs a 22-panel, 8.8 kW rooftop array with a 10 kWh Enphase battery — clean daytime production plus backup when the grid goes down.
We built the array on Enphase IQ8+ microinverters with Q.Peak DUO black panels for a clean look, then added an Enphase Encharge battery so essential circuits keep running through an outage. Microinverters mean each panel produces independently — ideal for an urban roof that may see partial shading.
The homeowner owns it all in Xcel territory: daytime self-supply, net-metering credit for the excess, and stored power for when it matters most.
Because the homeowner owns this system, they keep the energy savings, the net-metering value and the resale value — iSolar doesn’t do residential leases or PPAs in Minnesota. (The federal residential solar tax credit ended December 31, 2025; the value here is ownership and decades of net-metering credit.)
