This Roseville homeowner, Jim W., installed a 34-panel, 13.65 kW rooftop system in 2021 that now generates about 118% of his household’s annual electricity use — enough to cover his own usage with surplus left over.
The extra production gets credited back through net metering, so the system pays for itself faster than an array sized to exactly match usage. We handled the full permitting and inspection process with the City of Roseville as part of the install.
Because the homeowner owns this system, they keep the energy savings, the net-metering value and the resale value — iSolar doesn’t do residential leases or PPAs in Minnesota. (The federal residential solar tax credit ended December 31, 2025; the value here is ownership and decades of net-metering credit.)
